Lewis cracks top 25

The numbers keep piling up for Nik Lewis.

The Texas native is in his eighth Canadian Football League season and he has topped the 1,000-mark in each and every one of them. He’s caught a pass in every professional regular-season contest in which he has appeared, 137 of them and Lewis250_110812.jpgcounting.

This season, he made his 600th career reception and scored his 50th career touchdown. Then, on Friday night in Toronto, the Southern Arkansas alumnus achieved another significant milestone by cracking the CFL’s top 25 all-time receivers.

In displacing former Winnipeg Blue Bomber James Murphy from the list, Lewis (who now has 9,090 career yards) becomes the seventh player with Stamps connections to be a part of that impressive list.

Also in the top 25 are ex-Stamps Allen Pitts (second place all-time), recent Hall-of-Fame inductee Terry Vaughn (fifth), Tom Scott (11th), Travis Moore (15th), Jeremaine Copeland (16th) and Terry Evanshen (20th).

Here are the top 25 receivers in CFL history:
