Jr. Stamps Camp in High River

Stamps rookies run kids through drills at the 2015 Jr. Stamps Camp in Red Deer.

The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce they will be travelling to High River on Saturday, May 28 for the 2016 edition of Jr. Stamps Camp, presented by Rocky Mountain Equipment.

The club’s rookie players along with president and general manager John Hufnagel, head coach Dave Dickenson, members of the Outriders cheer team and Ralph the Dog will be headed to the town of approximately 13,000, located south of Calgary.

The players will meet youngsters from High River and surrounding area and run them through a series of football drills on the field. Afterwards, there will be an autograph session.

The event will help raise funds for amateur football and awareness for KidSport, an organization dedicated to ensuring all youngsters are able to break through financial barriers and participate in organized sports.

The Stampeders have a longstanding relationship with KidSport, starting with a skills camp that was held annually in Calgary and now with the Jr. Stamps Camp program in other Alberta communities. Previous stops have included Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Drumheller and Red Deer.
