Stamps add pair to rookie camp roster

The Calgary Stampeders have added two international players to their roster for rookie camp, which begins Thursday at McMahon Stadium. Signed are offensive lineman Alex Fifita and receiver Chleb Ravenell.

Offensive lineman
College: Fresno State
Height: 6.04
Weight: 306
Born: Feb. 11, 1994

Fifita played four seasons (2012-15) at Fresno State and made a total of 37 starts. During his senior season, he earned second-team all-Mountain West Conference honours after making 12 starts at left tackle and helping the Bulldogs rush for 1,642 yards on the season.

 

Chleb Ravenell

College: Western Michigan
Height: 5.11

Born: July 26, 1988

Ravenell attended Western Michigan from 2009-11. In 2011, he had 67 receptions for 839 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2009, Ravenell made 48 catches for 513 yards. Prior to Western Michigan, he played two seasons at Georgia Military junior college and had 48 receptions for 972 yards and 15 touchdowns.

 

In other transactions, the Stamps have placed national defensive lineman Junior Turner and national offensive lineman Brad Erdos on the injured-veteran-exempt list.
