Game Day Approved

As part of their ongoing partnership with Co-op, the Calgary Stampeders are proud of the recently introduced 2016 line of Stampeders-branded products available at Co-op locations in Calgary and across Southern Alberta.

The food items include Bo Levi’s Bacon Bombs potato chips — named in honour of Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell — as well as Extra Point Trail Mix, Quick Six Seeds, All-Star Almonds, Caramel Huddle and other team-branded products such as water, ice, ice buckets, drawstring bags, gloves and a Touchdown Teddy.

Through the partnership between Co-op and the Stampeders, a portion of sales from co-branded, specially labeled food and general merchandise items will be donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“Anytime that you’re involved with the Children’s Hospital, it’s special,” said Stampeders senior director of business operations Mike Franco. “Co-op is such a great partner and we feel this line of great products for our fans while also supporting a great cause is a win-win situation for everyone involved.”

“Every year, we look forward to the return of the football season and Game Day Approved products, which are making a difference for children’s hospitals throughout Western Canada,” said Dave Dyck, Associate Vice-President — Calgary Region with Federated Co-operatives Limited.

“With the help of the Calgary Stampeders and their fans, we’re having fun and supporting an important cause. Pediatric care is vital in every community, so we’re proud to support the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and its mission.”

As a result of partnerships between Co-op and four Western Canadian teams in the CFL and the sale of game day approved items, $120,000 was donated to children’s hospital foundations in 2015 and a total of nearly $500,000 has been raised since 2010.
