It’s Week 17 of the 2016 CFL season and the Calgary Stampeders and Montreal Alouettes finally get their first look at each other. The teams meet today at McMahon Stadium at 5 p.m. MDT. It’s the Stamps’ annual PinkPower game presented by TELUS.
The Stamps (13-1-1) have clinched first place in the West Division and with three games remaining in the regular season have a chance at the franchise single-season record of 15 wins.
The Alouettes, who are led by interim head coach and former Stamps player and assistant coach Jacques Chapdelaine, are 4-10 and last in the East.
Calgary is 7-0 at home so far in 2016 while the Als are 2-5 on the road.
Both teams were in action on Thanksgiving Monday – the Stamps were 48-20 winners in Toronto as they extended their winning streak to 12 games while the Alouettes lost 40-20 on home field to the Edmonton Eskimos.
Gate Giveaway: The first 5,000 fans through the gates will be given a TELUS #AllHeartStamps cape or a pair of thundersticks as well as Fisherman’s Friends throat lozenges.
National Anthem: Justine Tyrell – Born and raised in Calgary, Justine has taken the stage for many notable events, galas, benefits, and concerts throughout Canada and has received nominations and honors for her contribution to Alberta Music and Culture.
Flag Bearer: Quarterback Andrew Buckey will carry the Stampeders flag, while defensive back Jamar Wall will carry a special #31 flag.

The Stampeders are proud to once again team up with the Canadian Cancer Society in the ongoing battle against women’s cancers.
It’s the ninth year of the Stamps’ PinkPower initiative and the team is offering exclusive pink Stampeders merchandise to fans. Special limited-edition pink toques and infinity scarves will be available for sale at the game for $20 each with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their merchandise early as it typically sells out before kickoff.
Ram Fan Zone
Starting at 2:30 p.m., fans can check out the Ram Fan Zone located in the east parking lot adjacent to the Ticket Office at McMahon Stadium.
