At McMahon Stadium on Monday, four members of the Stamps got a firsthand look at the next generation of local football players.
The 15th edition of the Foothills Athletic Council’s flag football jamboree took place during a chilly midday outing with upward of 200 participants, both boys and girls in Grades 7 and 8.
A total of 13 teams were on hand from surrounding communities including Millarville, Nanton and Okotoks.
Derek Dennis, Kamar Jorden, Marquay McDaniel and Derek Wiggan stopped by the tournament to cheer on the kids and help draw up some plays.
Partway through their appearance, the four Stampeders spoke to the group about their individual upbringings and passion for the sport of football. They then answered a series of questions and signed autographs for the student-athletes.
