Four up, four down

For the fourth time in as many games, the Red and White’s basketball team came out on the winning side.

At Blessed Cardinal Newman School on Monday, the Stampeders roster was highlighted by Andrew Buckley, Alex Singleton, Spencer Wilson and Anthony Woodson. On the opposite bench, the junior high boys and girls gave the Stamps a tough test, finding their respective scoring touches from inside and out.

Wilson made a long-range three-pointer from the top of the key and Buckley knocked down several jump shots in yet another outing for the TELUS Stampeders Basketball Program.

Ralph the Dog was on hand to entertain the fans and did his best to spur the Stamps on to victory. The starting lineups and play-by-play were provided by Mark Stephen, the voice of the Calgary Stampeders on News Talk 770.

Blessed Cardinal Newman’s two players of the game were Annette and Riley. Tickets to a Calgary Roughnecks game along with a calendar, selfie stick and critter courtesy of TELUS were awarded to each player following the final buzzer.
