Stamps Add Four Defensive Linemen

The Stampeders have added four international defensive linemen to their rookie-camp roster including Kashawn Fraser, Kingsley Ibeh, Jeff Luc and James Vaughters.

Here is more information on the newcomers:

Kashawn Fraser, #94
Defensive lineman
College: Henderson State
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 251 lb.
Born: Mar. 6, 1990
International

Fraser signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2014 and played 11 games over the 2014 and 2015 seasons, recording 14 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. In college, he played his senior season at Henderson State in 2012, registering 30 total tackles including 7.5 tackles for loss as well as three sacks and one fumble recovery. He played three seasons at Central Michigan and had 44 total tackles, five tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 31 games.

Kingsley Ibeh, #90
Defensive lineman
College: Washburn
Height: 6-foot
Weight: 285 lb.
Born: Nov. 13, 1993
International

Ibeh attended rookie camp with the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals in 2016. He played at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., in 2015, recording 28 total tackles including 9.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and two forced fumbles in 11 games. Prior to transferring to Washburn, Ibeh played for Glendale Community College.

Jeff Luc, #91
Defensive lineman
College: Cincinnati
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 256 lb.
Born: Feb. 14, 1992
International

Luc originally signed with the Stamps on Oct. 18, 2016, and was on the club’s practice roster for 10 days. He attended training camp with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins in 2015 and later that year was added to the New Orleans Saints’ practice roster. Luc signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2016. He played two seasons at the University of Cincinnati and, in his senior season with the Bearcats, he recorded 65 tackles, 6.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. As a junior in 2013, he had 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Luc attended Cincinnati after transferring from Florida State. In two years (2010-11) with the Seminoles, he played 19 games and made 23 tackles.

James Vaughters, #98
Defensive lineman
College: Stanford
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 258 lb.
Born: June 27, 1993
International

Vaughters originally signed with the Stampeders on July 25, 2016, and was on the club’s practice roster until Aug. 10. He signed with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015, and he spent time on the club’s practice roster. He signed with the New England Patriots in 2016. In college, Vaughters played linebacker for four seasons at Stanford, appearing in 54 games and making 18 starts. He recorded 124 total tackles for the Cardinal, including 21.5 tackles for loss, as well as 12.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

In other transactions, international defensive lineman Bryson Kelly has been released and national linebacker Max Caron has been placed on the retired list.
