History only comes to life through a great story.
This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Calgary Stampeders and the 50th anniversary of McMahon Stadium. Beginning on Wednesday, Apr. 28 (65 days until the CFL season kicks off) fans are being encouraged to submit some of their greatest Stampeders stories and memories. Whether it's your first trip to McMahon (or even Mewata Stadium), your favourite Labour Day Classic, a Grey Cup memory or an unforgettable encounter with a Stampeders player, we want to hear about it.
Selected entries will be shared on Stampeders.com and fans making submissions will be eligible to win unique prizes.
The grand prize is a great Legacy package that includes the following items for the Saturday, July 31 home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers:
- Two tickets to the Red & White Club including a pre-game meal
- Two pre-game sideline passes to watch warmups
- Two replica jerseys
- Two VIP seats in the Stampeders Suite for the entire game
- One Sirius Satellite radio
Finalists will receive prizes such as a pair of tickets to a Stampeders home game, pre-game sideline passes and Stampeders merchandise.
Entries must be submitted by June 23 at 5 p.m. MDT. Each entry will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the finalist selection will be made upon contest closing.
