What is the Community Quarterback Contest?

It is a volunteer recognition program which honors outstanding volunteers in the Calgary area.  These volunteers exemplify commitment, leadership and passion to improving the community in which they live.

Who is eligible?

Calgary and area residents, ages 18 and over, who are volunteers at registered nonprofit organizations.  Nominees must work in a volunteer capacity and must not receive any type of compensation - monetary or otherwise - for their efforts.

How do you nominate someone for the Community Quarterback Contest?

Individuals may nominate someone who has made a difference by filling out a nomination form.  This form can be dropped off at any Scotiabank branch listed.  Please note that only individuals are eligible for the contest.

When does the Community Quarterback Contest program run?

We will begin accepting nominations for the 2008 Community Quarterback Contest starting May 3rd, 2008.  Nominations must be received before August 27th, 2008.

How is the Community Quarterback determined?

A review panel comprised of Scotiabank, Calgary Stampeder and media representatives will review the nominations and choose a pool of finalists for the Community Quarterback.  The ten winners will be announced at each 2008 home game.

What does the winner receive?

The winner shall receive a pair of Calgary Stampeders tickets for a home game, a merchandise prize pack and in-game recognition.
