CUPS

The CUPS Health & Education Centres and the Calgary Stampeders have enjoyed a partnership for nearly two decades.
One of the highlights of the relationship is the annual Kickoff Breakfast in support of CUPS. The 2009 event, which was held in the Imperial Ballroom of Calgary's Hyatt Regency hotel, was again a success. Approximately $50,000 was raised in 2009, bringing the all-time total raised at the Kickoff Breakfast to $650,000.
The CUPS Kickoff Breakfast is a great opportunity to meet members of the Calgary Stampeders while learning more about and supporting Calgary’s underprivileged. Traditionally, Stampeders offensive linemen have been front and centre when it comes to supporting CUPS and veteran big man Jeff Pilon continues that tradition by serving as the Red and White's player representative for the organization.
The Stamps are also pleased to take part in the annual dinner put on by CUPS and the Knox United Church hold their annual dinner. The event provides a holiday meal for the less fortunate and dozens of community volunteers provide service, hospitality and good cheer for those in attendance.
In addition, the Stampeders assist CUPS by collecting toiletry items throughout the course of the season. Over the years, hundreds of pounds of toiletries have been collected and distributed through the program.
