CUPS

The CUPS Health & Education Centres and the Calgary Stampeders have enjoyed a partnership for nearly two decades.

The relationship continued in 2010 with the CUPS/Stampeders Kickoff Breakfast on May 28 at the Hyatt Regency Calgary. The event featured many Stampeders players, coaches and alumni will be in attendance.

The 2010 edition of the Kickoff Breakfast was again a success asa cheque was presented to CUPS for $64,500, pushing the all-time total raised at the Kickoff Breakfast to more than $700,000.

The CUPS Kickoff Breakfast is a great opportunity to meet members of the Calgary Stampeders while learning more about and supporting Calgary’s underprivileged. Traditionally, Stampeders offensive linemen have been front and centre when it comes to supporting CUPS.

The Stamps are also pleased to take part in the annual dinner put on by CUPS and the Knox United Church hold their annual dinner. The event provides a holiday meal for the less fortunate and dozens of community volunteers provide service, hospitality and good cheer for those in attendance.

In addition, the Stampeders assist CUPS by collecting toiletry items throughout the course of the season. Over the years, hundreds of pounds of toiletries have been collected and distributed through the program.
