Calgary Stampeders fullback Rob Cote led the fifth annual Hike for Hospice Calgary on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Fish Creek Park — Glennfield Area A. Cote was joined by teammates Jesse Newman and Tim O’Neill, as well as members of the Stampeder Outriders and team mascot Ralph the Dog.

“This is a great event that not only raises important funds and awareness for Hospice Calgary but also provides a perfect opportunity for participants to remember and honour lost loved ones,” said Cote. “It’s always a great time for a great cause.”

This marked the third consecutive year that Cote has led the hike. He continues to be the club’s representative with Hospice Calgary, working actively with the organization year-round. The Stampeders have been involved with Hospice Calgary since 2007.

The 5K walk or 10K fun-run raises funds to support individuals and families whose lives are transformed by a life-threatening illness or the death of someone close to them.
