HIKE FOR HOSPICE

The 2009 Hike for Hospice marked the third year of the partnership between the Stampeders and Hospice Calgary.
For a second consecutive year, fullback Rob Cote (pictured right) represented the Stamps as the 2009 Hike was held on May 3 at Fish Creek Provincial Park. Also on hand from the Red and White were players Tim O'Neill and Matt Grootegoed, Ralph the Dog and members of the Stampeders Outriders.
The 2009 event was a success as Hospice Calgary met its fundraising goal.
Defensive lineman Randy Chevrier was the first Stampeders representative in the Hike for Hospice when the partnsership between the oprganization and the football club began in 2007.
The five-kilometre Hike for Hospice helps raise money and awareness for Hospice Calgary.
The event is a chance for individuals and families whose lives have been touched by Hospice Calgary to hike together and remember loved ones.
