SALV. ARMY COAT DRIVE

The Calgary Stampeders, our fans and The Salvation Army teamed up to help those in need at the Stamps’ 2009 regular-season finale. The seventh annual The Salvation Army Coat Drive was held prior to the game on Friday, Oct. 23, with fans donating new or gently used jackets to the cause.
At a time the need is greater than ever, the event was a huge success as more than 1,200 coats were collected as well as $4,500 in cash donations. Both numbers represent healthy increases from the 2008 totals.
That brings the seven-year total to almost 7,500 coats and more than $16,200 raised.
