PILON SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION

The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce veteran offensive lineman Jeff Pilon has signed a multi-year contract extension with the club.

Pilon joined the Stamps midway through the 2000 Canadian Football League season and this is his ninth year in Red and White. He currently is the team’s longest-serving player with 120 games under his belt.

“This team has a rich tradition of offensive lineman — guys like Rocco Romano, Jamie Crysdale, Jay McNeil — and I want to try and carry that on,” said Pilon. “I’ve had some great times during my nine seasons in Calgary and I hope to have many more.”

As is team policy, terms of Pilon’s will not be released.

“We’re very happy that Jeff has extended his commitment to the football club,” said Stamps head coach/general manager John Hufnagel. “He’s a very good player, an important member of the offensive line and a leader in the locker-room.”
