Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel today announced that import linebacker Tim Johnson has been released.

“We thank Tim for his efforts last season and wish him the best for the future,” said Hufnagel. “Tim’s family situation is such that he believed he could not make the commitment needed to return to the Canadian Football League for the 2010 season.”
