LEWIS: Feeling better
August 21, 2008
Whenever we go to BC Place to play; we know we have to bring our A-game. It's not an easy place to play. The crowd is not the loudest in the league, but if they get on a run they can be loud for a long period of time. We haven't had the greatest success when going into that building lately, but I will tell you that this is a new team and a new season. A lot of things that people said in the past are not the same now.
For me this is just another game to go out and prove that we are a good team on our way to the top. Our team has had some ups and downs in the first seven games, but we continue to push to be better. Anyone that has ever played a team sport knows its hard for everyone on the team to come out and have there best day on the same day. So we stick together and when some struggle we know it will only be a matter of time for them to come out of it.
I have struggled at times in the past and I know that the last thing I need to do is to rethink what I have done. As a fan it is your job to stand beside us through it all because when we win, Calgary wins. Continue to support us as we travel to BC, and know that even though you might not be at the game, you’re still apart of this game.
This team is heading in a new direction, and personally it feels great. It was great to have the bye week and get to go and relax and take some time off. I feel a lot better now then I did going into the last game versus the Riders. The way that I am playing this year is taking a lot more out of my body and me. It takes a little longer for my wounds to heal, but now I feel like I did earlier in the season and I know I will have to stay on top of my game to help my team win tough games. So far this season there have been a lot of tough games, not just for us, but for every team.
I know that I have prepared myself well for the season in the off-season and I continue to lift weights during the season in order to give myself the best possible chance to stay healthy and play at a high level.

| Hey Nik. In my mind you are probably in the top five receivers in the CFL. There are two areas where you are tops; blocking and making catches in traffic. The Stamps look new and improved, especially the Defence. I am confident you guys will beat the Lions tonight. Go STAMPS go! | |

| Hi Nik, I like your comments, you nailed it. I have been a Stamps Fan since I was old enough to know what football is, and I'll be behind you guys all the way. I know the Stamps will do well, especially you, Mr. consistency. Great job this year Nik. GO STAMPS! |
