It’s time for another exciting season of the Calgary Stampeders Off-Season Basketball Program, presented by New York Fries.
For two decades, the Stampeders have been visiting school gymnasiums in and around Calgary, giving youngsters the chance to go head-to-head with professional athletes. The Stampeders will tip off their 2013 basketball program in February.
“There are few community actvities I look forward to more than the basketball program,” said Stampeders defensive tackle Corey Mace. “It's incredble the impact a simple game of pickup basketball can make to the kids around a school. The games are friendly — or sometimes competitive — but always a lot of fun.”
