Here's your opportunity to be a member of the greatest cheer team in the Canadian Football League — the Stampeder Outriders.
Preliminary Auditions
Date: Sunday, March 21
Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Cardel Place
Interviews – for those selected after Preliminary Audition
Date: Saturday, March 27
Location: McMahon Stadium
Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Each candidate will be given a 15-minute window between these hours)
Final audition – Required for all selected for Interview
Date: Sunday, Mar. 28
Location: Flames Central (219 Steven Ave. Mall)
Time: 12:15 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Audition Information
- Must be 18 years of age or older to audition
- An application must be filled out in order to participate in the 2010 Auditions.

- The cost to audition is $10, which is due at the time of registration prior to the Preliminary Auditions.
- Applications will be accepted now through Friday March 19th, 2010
- To pre-register, please mail the attached registration form along with a full length photo of yourself to the address on form with $10 tryout fee payable to Calgary Stampeder Outriders. (This is a non-refundable fee, please do not send cash through the mail)
- If you have not pre-registered before the deadline, there will be forms available at the Preliminary Audition. Please make sure to arrive early to fill this out and please have your $10 tryout fee with you as well.
What to Wear

- Hair and make-up — as you envision yourself on Game Day. Please make sure your hair does NOT cover your face

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many people audition for the Outriders?
Typically, 100 to 150 candidates audition each year to fill approximately 30 game-day positions. Members of the 2009 Calgary Stampeder Outriders are required to audition for the 2010 season.
Do the Outriders get paid?
Members of the Calgary Stampeder Outriders receive two 2010 season tickets and are provided with numerous sponsored services such as gym memberships, tanning, clothing, make-up discounts and hair styling. Outriders are not compensated for rehearsals or game-day performances. Opportunities for paid appearances are numerous but not guaranteed.
What type of time commitment is involved if I make the team?
The Calgary Stampeders have 10 regular season home games, as well as one potential home playoff game. The Outriders rehearse twice a week — Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Being an Outrider is a significant commitment for a 12-month period. Attendance at all 10 home games, rehearsals, photo shoots and Calgary Stampeder team events is mandatory. The Outriders also attend many community appearances throughout the season.
