Dixon signed with the Stamps as a free agent on May 11, 2011. He was signed by the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in April of 2010 and released in June of the same year.

Dixon played in nine games with the Stamps in his rookie season and was part of the rotation at defensive tackle in those contests. He made his CFL debut in a July 8 contest against the BC Lions and recorded a pair of tackles. He picked up the first sack of his career in a Sept. 9 contest against Edmonton. For the season, he totalled 14 tackles, including two tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble.

College

Dixon was selected to the All-Sun Belt Conference second team in 2009 after a strong season at Troy. He recorded 29 solo tackles for the Trojans and added 20 assisted tackles. He registered 10.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, 21 quarterback hurries and one pass break-up. He sat out the 2008 campaign after transferring from Nebraska. With the Cornhuskers in 2007, he had 11 solo tackles, eight assisted tackles, one forced fumble and one interception. Prior to his time at Nebraska, Dixon attended Garden City Community College in Kansas and over the course of two seasons recorded 76 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss, 13 sacks and two forced fumbles. In 2006, he was an honourable-mention National Junior College Athletic Association All-American.
