Pro path
Calgary signed Lewis as a free agent on May 19, 2004.
2009
In his sixth season, Lewis extended a number of Stampeders marks he already holds and made headway on a number of other club records. With 70 catches for 1,013 yards and one touchdown, Lewis recorded his sixth consecutive 1,000-yard receiving campaign to extend his club record. In addition, he stretched his consecutive games with a catch streak past the century mark to 105 games. Lewis rose from seventh to sixth in receptions with 453 and from seventh to fourth in receiving yards with 6,761. Lewis is one of four current CFL players to record 50 or more receptions in six consecutive seasons. He was named CFL Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 9 effort against Toronto with a five-reception, 118-yard game. His devastating block of Argos linebacker Zeke Moreno in that game made numerous highlight reels. Lewis had two other 100-yard games during the regular season — Aug. 13 at Edmonton (seven catches for 132 yards) and Oct. 17 against Saskatchewan (eight catches, 112 yards). Lewis also put together a big game in the West semifinal on Nov. 15 against Edmonton as he made seven receptions for 100 yards. On Oct. 3 against Hamilton, Lewis played in his 100th game as a Stampeder and in the CFL.
2008
Lewis started every game including the West Final and Grey Cup. His 87 receptions also represented a career high. He tied his career best for longest reception with an 85-yard grab on Oct. 10. With 10 majors, Lewis hit the double-digit mark for touchdown grabs in a season for the first time. Lewis became the first Stamps receiver since Travis Moore in 2002 to notch back-to-back multi-touchdown reception games. He had a career-high 10 receptions in a regular-season game on two occasions in 2008 — against Toronto Sept. 20 and against Winnipeg Oct. 18. Lewis became the first Stamp to post five consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons. In addition, Lewis has caught at least one pass in 88 consecutive games in which he has appeared, breaking Allen Pitts’ mark of 85 on Oct. 18 against Winnipeg.
2007
In his fourth season with the Stamps, Lewis tied for the team lead with 67 receptions and his 1,101 receiving yards ranked second on the team. He had receptions in all 16 games he played and grabbed a season-high eight passes on Aug. 17 against the BC Lions. Lewis eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark four times, including a season-high 149 yards on five receptions against Saskatchewan on Sept. 15. His 85-yard reception for a touchdown in the contest was the longest by a Calgary receiver in 2007. Lewis added two receptions for 19 yards in the West Division Semi-Final at Saskatchewan on Nov. 11.
