Calgary acquired Lysack in a trade with Winnipeg on Oct. 2, 2005 in exchange for Anthony Malbrough. He was originally selected in the first round (fifth overall) by the Stampeders in the 2003 CFL Canadian Draft. He was traded to Winnipeg in September of 2004.

2008

Lysack started 16 regular season games, missing two at mid-season due to injury. He recorded a team-leading four interceptions; all in a five game stretch and had a career-high 101 interception return yards on the season. His interception on Aug. 22 was his first in three years, the previous one coming against Ottawa on Aug. 19, 2005. Lysack scored his first career touchdown on a 57-yard interception return against Toronto on Sept. 20. It was the longest touchdown return by a Stamp since Nov. 6, 2005. Including two recovered fumbles, Lysack tied for second on the team with six takeaways. He recorded 22 tackles, four special-teams tackles and six pass knockdowns during the regular season and added five tackles in two playoff contests.

2007

Lysack dressed in the first 15 games for the Stamps before being sidelined by an injury at Hamilton on Sept. 21. He missed three games before returning against Winnipeg on Oct. 19. He had a season-high three special-teams tackles at Edmonton on Sept. 7. Lysack dressed for the West Semi Final at Saskatchewan.

College

Lysack attended Rutgers University for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. He played 11 games in 2000 and recorded 10 tackles, two interceptions, one blocked punt, one fumble return and one forced fumble. He didn’t play in 2001 and joined the University of Manitoba for the 2002 season.

Notable

Lysack was involved in three major trades in his first three seasons in the league. To obtain the draft pick used to select Lysack, the Stamps sent receiver Travis Moore and linebacker Chris Hoople to Saskatchewan in 2003. Calgary then dealt Lysack to Winnipeg in 2004 along with fullback Scott Regimbald and defensive lineman Joe Fleming for quarterback Khari Jones, fullback Randy Bowles and a fourth-round pick in the 2006 CFL Canadian Draft. He returned to the Stamps in a trade for Anthony Malbrough in 2005.
