Auditions Are Complete

“Get up on your feet and rock to the beat!”
The 2006 Q107 Calgary Stampeder Outrider auditions took place on Sunday, March 12 at Cardel Place. Over 100 anxious girls auditioned to be part of one of Calgary's most sought after dance teams. Among those judging the competition were Stampeder Offensive Lineman Jeff Pilon and Taylor Robertson as well as Defensive Back Lawrence Deck. Local celebrity, Young Stephen from Q107's morning show and a crew of Outrider alumni also helped pick this year's squad.
The audition consisted of floor techniques and a dance combination to Rhianna's ‘S.O.S.'. The girls also learned a cheer that will be used to pump up fans at McMahon in 2006. All the girls who auditioned impressed the judges with their advanced athleticism and dance ability.
The final team has been chosen and practices begin this week. The girls are very excited for our home opener June 17th and can't wait to cheer on the Stampeders to a Grey Cup victory in Winnipeg. Check back soon for the 30 women who make up the 2006 Q107 Stampeder Outrider roster.
“I was really impressed with the skill level of all of the dancers. It's really a shame that we can't include all of the girls on the team,” said Stamps Offensive lineman Taylor Robertson.
