Stamps team up with TELUS for Stamp of a Champ

The Calgary Stampeders are proud to partner with TELUS to unveil a new community program focused on youth empowerment.

The program —known as “TELUS Stamp of a Champ” — features Stampeders alumnus Randy Chevrier and several Stampeders players visiting schools and youth organizations to encourage young people to take affirmative action in enriching their own lives and the lives of others.

“We’re very excited about this new program and especially that this new initiative is committed to helping the young people in our community,” said Stampeders president Gordon Norrie. “We’re very excited to team up with TELUS to unveil Stamp of a Champ and we thank them for their support.”

“Giving back in our communities is at the heart of everything we do,” said Shadi Sakr, TELUS sports sponsorship manager. “The Calgary Stampeders do so much in the community and by coming together we feel as though we can make a huge difference in the lives of youth in Southern Alberta.”

“I have three kids of my own, so this program means a lot to me on a personal level,” said Chevrier, who will serve as the alumni representative for TELUS Stamp of a Champ. “Everyone in the Stamps organization is very eager to get out there and help youngsters help themselves. Making a positive impact on young people and helping them grow into strong adults is what Stamp of a Champ is all about.”
