Stampeders sign three

The Calgary Stampeders have signed national offensive lineman Cam Thorn, international receiver Cameron White and international defensive back Demetrius Wright.

Thorn was selected in the seventh round (58th overall) by the BC Lions in the 2013 CFL draft and played 36 regular-season and two playoff games over two seasons with BC. He was a first-team Ontario all-star at guard with Guelph in 2013 after making the conversion from defensive line.

Born: Feb. 1, 1993

White played four games at Grambling State in 2015 and had three catches for 33 yards. He previously attended Texas Christian and had 45 catches for 546 yards and two touchdowns in 35 games.

Demetrius Wright
Defensive back
College: Southern Cal
Height: 6.01
Weight: 195
Born: Dec. 19, 1991

Wright played one game for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2015, recording four tackles. He signed with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2014. Wright started 11 games over his four-year (2010-13) career at USC and recorded a total of 87 tackles.
