Hughes: We gave it our all

I’m feeling pretty under the weather right now. I’m still pretty sick despite the win, but I feel good about the win. We worked hard, we gave it our all out there, and it was a battle all the way to the end.

Hats off to Saskatchewan – they played hard all the way to the end in both of these last two games, really. They’re a tough team and when they put it all together, I’m pretty sure they’ll be even better and start to pick up wins.

I had three sacks tonight and it’s been a long time coming for me. I hadn’t had a sack since the game against Ottawa back in Week 3, but I’ve been asked to do other things out there and I’ve just been doing what I can to win games.  As long as we keep this winning record and remain No. 1 in the West Division, I couldn’t care less about what happens on the stat sheet.

It’s an accomplishment to receive a game ball from my teammates. I don’t know how many games balls I’ve gotten since I joined the Stampeders in 2008, but it’s always a great feeling when you get a game ball.
