Stampeders release Tory Harrison

The Calgary Stampeders have released international running back Tory Harrison.

“I thank Tory for all of his contributions to the Stampeders,” said president and general manager John Hufnagel. “He is a talented player but injuries have unfortunately been a problem for him and we have decided to move in a different direction.”

Harrison spent two weeks on the Stamps practice roster in 2014 and he re-signed with the club in May of 2015. He played 24 regular-season games for the Stampeders over the past two years, accumulating 495 rushing yards, 250 receiving yards and 225 combined kick-return yards. Injuries brought a premature end to both of his seasons in Calgary and he did not see any playoff action with the Stamps.
