Getting to know … Brad Erdos

Brad Erdos is heading into his fourth season with the Stampeders.

The offensive lineman from Lethbridge has played 25 games with the Red and White since joining the club in 2014. He was selected in the fourth round (27th overall) in the 2012 Canadian draft. Erdos made nine starts at right guard for Calgary in 2016.

Prior to joining the Stamps, he played at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge and at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C.

Who is your favourite superhero?

Iron Man

What is your favourite movie?

Dumb and Dumber. A classic. Or actually, make it Division III: Football’s Finest.

If you could sing a song on American Idol, what would it be?

Shania Twain – Party For Two. It would be a duet with (former Simon Fraser teammate) Jeremy Pearce.

 

If you could play any other position in football, what would it be?

Probably linebacker.

What is your favourite day of the year?

Whatever day the Grey Cup is being played.

If you could be an astronaut and fly to Mars, would you do it?

No, I wouldn’t do that.

If you won $1 million playing the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

I would go on a trip to the sand dunes somewhere in the States and drive quads.

What was your first car?

A 1990 Pontiac Sunbird. A two-door coupe with a sunroof. It was a beater. The axle was bent, the odometre didn’t work . . . It was reliable, though.

What is your second-favourite sport?

Rugby. I played all through high school.

What is your favourite CFL road city to visit?

Vancouver because I have a lot of friends and family back there.

What is your pre-game meal?

If it’s on the road, it’s the Keg. Usually the baseball steak, medium-rare.

What is your nickname?

“Dos”

What was your childhood football number?

My high-school football number was 50. In college, it was 55.
