Stamps bowl for a goal

Stamps players take part in Bowl for Kids

A fun-filled Friday evening at the bowling alley also helped raised funds for a very deserving organization.

The Bowl for Kids Sake event at the Chinook Bowladrome was attended by several Stamps players in addition to a pair of Calgary Stampeders Outriders, presented by Century Downs.

By the end of the night, $24,000 was generated in benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area. A total of 32 teams equating to hundreds of participants came out to support, many of whom went home with one of the many door prizes awarded throughout the event.

Dan Federkeil, Deron Mayo, Rene Paredes, Alex Singleton and Quinn Smith formed a team of their own while Bo Levi Mitchell and his team were assigned to an adjourning lane. Mitchell has a longstanding relationship with the local mentorship group and is a regular attendee of Bowl for Kids Sake.

Joining the players on behalf of the Red and White were Dana and Taylor W. of The Outriders. The two women spent the evening selling 50/50 tickets on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters before also showcasing their bowling skills.

Bowl for Kids Sake, which has taken place annually for more than 25 years, requires teams to raise funds in order to register and includes multiple bowling events over a five-day period.
