Stamps sign Levels and Thurman

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international defensive back Patrick Levels and international linebacker Jameer Thurman.

International

Levels played 51 games over four seasons (2013-16) at Baylor. He recorded 90 total tackles including 14 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He also had four forced fumbles and two pass breakups. During his senior season with the Bears, he returned six kickoffs for 127 yards.

Born: Jan. 20, 1995
International

Thurman earlier this month attended rookie camp with the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers. He played 48 games over four seasons (2013-16) at Indiana State and finished his career with the Sycamores as the school’s 11th all-time leader in total tackles with 340. He had 28 tackles for loss, five interceptions, seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

In other transactions, international receiver Darius Davis, international offensive lineman Nick Ritcher and international linebacker D’Nerius Antoine have been released.

In addition, national defensive lineman Junior Turner and national offensive lineman Quinn Smith have been placed on the injured list.
