Running back added to practice roster

The Calgary Stampeders have added international running back Dominique Williams to the practice roster.

Here is more information on the newcomer:

Williams signed with the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and spent time on the team’s practice roster in both 2014 and 2015. He then signed with the New York Jets and was added to their practice roster after 2016 training camp.

Prior to turning pro, Williams played four seasons at Wagner College, an FCS school in Staten Island, N.Y. He turned in three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2011-13 and, with 4,435 career rushing yards, he finished his collegiate career ranked third all-time in school history. Williams had 26 career 100-yard games for the Seahawks and scored a total of 46 touchdowns – 42 rushing and four receiving. He served as team captain for three seasons.
