The Calgary Stampeders take on the Edmonton Eskimos in the Western Final on Sunday at McMahon Stadium. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m.

This marks the third time in four years the Battle of Alberta rivals have met in the Western Final – Calgary won the 2014 game en route to a Grey Cup title and Edmonton prevailed in 2015 on the way to winning a championship of their own.

Calgary earned the right to host the Western Final thanks to a league-best 13-4-1 record during the regular season. Edmonton finished third in the West with a 12-6 record and earned a date with the Stamps by defeating the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 39-32 in the Western Semi-Final last week at Investors Group Field.

The Stamps and Eskimos have met 12 previous times in the division final with each team winning six times. Including the semifinal round, Calgary and Edmonton have squared off 23 times in the post-season with Edmonton holding a 12-11 edge.

During the 2017 regular season, the Stamps won two of three meetings against Edmonton including a 39-18 decision in the Labour Day Classic at McMahon. Calgary also prevailed in the rematch in Edmonton five days later, picking up a 25-22 win, while the Eskimos were 29-20 winners on home field on Oct. 28.

National Anthem: Justine Tyrell – Born and raised in Calgary, Justine has taken the stage for many notable events, galas, benefits, and concerts throughout Canada and has received nominations and honours for her contribution to Alberta Music and Culture.
