It may only be January but don’t fret, Stamps fans! There’s still a lot going on during the off-season as we eagerly await for football season to return.

Have a look at some key dates in 2018…

Jan. 15 – Season ticket renewal deadline

Attention Stamps season ticket holders… Don’t miss a snap of the 2018 season! The deadline to renew your tickets is Jan. 15. Enjoy the benefits of being a season ticket holder and cheer the Stampeders on all season long!

Feb. 10 – Open tryouts kick off

The Stamps hold open tryouts at various locations around the U.S. during the spring. This year’s open tryouts kick off in Miami for the first of 13 auditions. Click here for more information including dates and locations.

Feb. 13 – Free agency begins

Because of the way things are now in the CFL with an abundance of one-year contracts, all teams have a large number of pending free agents this year. The Stamps ended the season with the third highest total in the CFL.

Stamps management has already been hard at work to keep players in the Red and White with a handful of signings leading up to Christmas. Several more players are expected to be inked before free agency opens on Feb. 13.

And who knows which new faces we’ll see in a Stamps uniform this season?

March 21 – 25 – CFL Week

After a successful inaugural CFL Week in Regina last spring, we’re following it up with a second annual event in Winnipeg in March. All your favourite players will be there and the week will be filled with fan activities and CFL talk. The week will wrap up with the National Combine which showcases the next wave of CFL stars.

April 29-30 – Mini-Camp

The invite-only camp is held in Florida as the Stamps determine their training camp roster. Many notable players went through this camp before going on to star with the Red and White including Bo Levi Mitchell, Tommie Campbell, Micah Johnson, Roy Finch and Ciante Evans.

May 3 – CFL Draft

The Stamps currently have nine selections in this year’s draft. Recent drafts have brought the likes of Alex Singleton, Lemar Durant, Tunde Adeleke, Juwan Brescacin and Andrew Buckley into the fold. The Stamps talent evaluators are doing their homework to make sure the Stamps have another strong draft. You can catch draft coverage across all of TSN’s platforms.

May 12 – FanFest

FanFest is the unofficial kickoff to the new season! Bring the whole family down for a fun-filled morning mingling with players and coaches, getting pictures and autographs, taking part in interactive games and more!

May 17 – Rookie Camp begins

A new crop of rookies will hit the field ahead of main training camp. It’s a chance to look at recent draft picks and also gives Americans the chance to acclimate to the CFL game. They also get a head-start on the playbook before the vets arrive.

May 20 – Training Camp opens

Fans will get their football fix sooner as training camps open across the CFL a week earlier than in the past. Come down to McMahon and have a look at how the team is shaping up for 2018.

June 1 – Pre-season Game 1

#IsItJuneYet? Yes! And the Stamps get started against the Lions in pre-season action at McMahon. This marks the start of former Stamps bench boss Wally Buono’s final season as a CFL head coach.

June 8 – Pre-season Game 2

The Stamps wrap-up pre-season in Saskatchewan and it’s the final opportunity for players to catch the eye of coaches and earn a spot on the roster.

June 16 – Home opener

The Stamps kick off the regular season at home against the Tiger-Cats (and Johnny Manziel?). It’s the first step for Calgary to look to repeat as West Division Champions while the Ticats look to pick up where they left off after June Jones took over the coaching reins and led them to a promising finish. It’s also the first of six Saturday home games this season!
