Ambles: Game Blog

I just came out and tried to play hard last night. I wanted to do what the coaches asked of us and just make plays when the game came to me. Luckily, the game came to me in the third quarter and I was able to convert.

Larry threw a nice ball on the touchdown play. I was able to find some open space in between the defenders and I just tried to go up, elevate and get it into the endzone. I’m really glad that I was able to bring it down.

It felt good to score my first CFL touchdown, but I was well prepared going into the game, so I expected to score. I want to keep that mindset going forward.

I think as receivers played well overall, but we’ve got some things to work on because we had troubles with turnovers, so it’s back to the drawing board tomorrow. We’ve got to keep grinding to get better and we will be better next week against Saskatchewan.

Hopefully my performance helps show the coaches that I’m deserving of a spot on the roster, but for now it’s on to the next play. I’m just trying to put in the work and when the time comes for the coaches to make the decisions, we’ll see.

It’s awesome to be here in Calgary. Playing in front of all those amazing fans last night was great. I feel like this is the best team in the CFL and I’m just happy to be a part of it.
