Stampeders Make Roster Moves

The Calgary Stampeders have made a number of roster moves in accordance with today’s CFL deadline.

The following players have been released:

• International defensive back Trey Caldwell
• National defensive lineman Randy Colling
• National defensive lineman Alexandre Gagnon
• National offensive lineman Dillon Guy
• International receiver Blake Jackson
• International receiver Anthony Kelly
• International defensive lineman Danny Mason
• International offensive lineman Josue Matias
• National receiver Anthony Parker
• International defensive lineman Kelcy Quarles
• International linebacker Keith Reineke
• International defensive back Mark Roberts
• International running back Rushel Shell III
• International linebacker Tyler Stoddard
• International receiver Kylen Towner
• International receiver Nick Truesdell
• International receiver Kenneth Walker
• International defensive back Julian Wilson

Parker played 108 regular-season games over the seven seasons for the Stampeders. He also appeared in seven playoff contests and three Grey Cup games and was part of Calgary’s championship team in 2014.

The University of Calgary alum had 178 career catches for 2,245 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Red and White.

“These are always very difficult decisions, especially when it’s someone who has been with the club for so long and has contributed so much on and off the field,” said Stampeders president and general manager John Hufnagel. “I thank Anthony for everything he has done for the football club and wish him all the best for the future whether he chooses to continue playing football or focus on his real-estate career.”

The following players are returning to their university teams:

• National kicker Gabriel Ferraro (Guelph)
• National defensive back Dagogo Maxwell (UBC)
• National running back Boston Rowe (Calgary)
• National running back Atlee Simon (Regina)

The following players have been added to the practice roster:

• International quarterback Larry Brihm Jr.
• International defensive back Devin Butler
• International defensive back Gump Hayes
• International offensive lineman Nila Kasitati
• National receiver Michael Klukas
• National defensive back Royce Metchie
• International running back Romar Morris
• International linebacker Dwayne Norman
• International offensive lineman Justin Renfrow

The following players have been placed on the six-game injury list:

• National defensive lineman Michael Kashak
• International defensive lineman Brandon Peguese

The Stampeders kick off the 2018 regular season on Saturday, June 16 when they play host to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is at 5 p.m. MDT.
