Morris: Game Blog

As I scored that touchdown – the first of my CFL career – my body relaxed and it was like a sigh of relief. I thought okay, this is the same game I play every single day.

At the beginning of the game, I was a little nervous, but as the game went on the jitters went away. I started to get back into the groove of things, started hitting harder and started playing more comfortably. At the beginning it was a little shakey, but we all came together as a team and did a great job.

The defence did an absolutely phenomenal job last night, they held them to three points. One of the best defences on a team I’ve been a part of, I’m thankful for the great effort that they put on.

The atmosphere at TD Place in Ottawa was crazy, I didn’t know what to expect. It was a great feeling to be out there, great team win, having fun with the guys, everybody played well, it was an awesome job out there.

I think I was pretty good in the game, but there is always room for improvement, so I have to come into next week and the weeks after that, get back to the film room, study the film and improve.

Every week I’m prepared, I’m going to continue my effort and hope everything goes well.

I’m thankful for the opportunity, and I thank god for allowing me to be here and be in this position.
