Little Miss Outrider gives girls chance to try on cheer

When it comes to building confidence, nothing brings joy and energy to girls the way that dance does.

The movement and motion ignites an excitement inside of every participant, whether it is their first time learning to two-step or simply trying on the hokey-pokey, dancing in unison creates a sense of belonging and community.

The Little Miss Outrider program provides just that.

Last year’s performance provided girls of all ages an opportunity to join the Outrider dance team to cheer on the Stamps in front of fans.

Because of the success of the program in 2017, the Stampeders have launched the Little Miss Outrider program for the Family Day game day on August 25, 2018 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Girls from ages 5-15 will learn a cheer and dance routine directly from the Outriders during two rehearsal times and will then perform the routine as a group during halftime on the field at McMahon. No previous dance experience is required; young ladies simply need to bring their enthusiasm and energy.

Along with a chance to bust some moves on the field with the Outriders dance team, girls participating will also receive:

  • Little Miss Outrider T-shirt
  • Set of pom-poms
  • Stampeders miniature bag
  • Two (2) tickets to the Aug. 25 Stamps vs Blue Bombers Family Day game (additional tickets available at rehearsal for $20 each)
  • Discount coupon for the Stamps Store
  • Group photo and official certificate of participation

Registration for ages 5-9 is available here and registration for ages 10-15 here. The registration is $80.
