There’s no time to waste.

The Stampeders are in Hamilton Saturday, taking on the 6-5 Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field starting at 2:00 p.m. MT.

And after last weekends 48-42 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos the Red & White are eager to improve to 10-2.

On the other side of the field, the Ti-Cats are coming off of three straight victories, most recently downing the Toronto Argonauts 36-25 at home.

The Stampeders will have to start hot to keep up with a Ti-Cats team riding high on momentum.

“We have to come out and hit them in the mouth before they hit us in the mouth,” said Running Back Romar Morris.

“We have to start fast, that’s something we haven’t done in the last two-or-three weeks.”

There’s also little room for error for the Stamps’ offence as they take on one of the best secondaries in the CFL.

However Morris isn’t too worried, as the Stamps put up 406 offensive yards in their last tilt.

“We’re going to try to make a dent, coach is always trying to implement different players and different packages,” Morris explained. “We just have to get out there and keep doing what we’ve been doing.”

On the defensive end, they’re preparing for an unpredictable attack from Hamilton quarterback Jeremiah Masoli.

“He’s a guy that we have to be prepared to do things we don’t expect to,” said defensive lineman James Vaughters. “We try to keep him in the pocket as much as we can and get to him as best we can.

“Limiting his run is an important factor because he can make some ridiculous plays on the run. But we’ve made some ridiculous plays as well throughout the season, we just have to continue to that and be as thorough as possible on our assignments.”

Adding to that, taking on Hamilton’s O-Line will also prove to be a test.

“We’re expecting a lot of blockers in the box,” Vaughters explained. “They’re going to try to hit us in a lot of different ways to threaten our leverage. We have to be prepared for that, keep our eyes open and stay aware.”

The additions to this week’s 46-man roster are LB Dwayne Norman, and OL Nila Kasitati. The lone subtraction this week is DB Tay Glover-Wright.
