Calgary Stampeders vs BC Lions

The Calgary Stampeders will be in search of their 13th victory in 15 games this season when the BC Lions visit Southern Alberta on Saturday.
Calgary were 12-6 winners in a hard-fought matchup on Thanksgiving Monday from Montreal. With the result, Calgary improved to 12-2 and clinched a home playoff game for the seventh consecutive year. Also in Week 17, BC won by a score of 26-23 over the Toronto Argonauts to improve its record to 7-7.
Saturday’s game marks the last regular-season contest at McMahon Stadium for BC Lions head coach Wally Buono, who has announced his intention to retire at season’s end. Buono led the Stamps’ coaching staff from 1990-2002 and is the winningest coach in franchise history.
Back on Aug. 4, the Stamps triumphed 27-19 over the visiting Lions. In their last 11 meetings with BC in Calgary, which includes two playoff contests, the Stamps have gone 10-1.
The Stamps are 7-0 at home this season and 4-2 against West Division teams. The Lions are 1-6 on the road and 2-4 against the West.
These two teams will clash once again in early November to close out the regular season in Vancouver.

The Stamps will continue supporting the fight against women’s cancers with their annual PinkPower game.

The Fan Zone gets underway at 3:30 p.m. and will feature a live DJ, Stamps player autographs, interactive sponsor activations and other exciting attractions in the East parking lot.
Make some noise
Mayfair Diagnostics, the game’s presenting sponsor, will be giving away thundersticks to the first 10,000 fans through the gates.
Halftime
Local minor football teams will be taking to the field against one another at halftime.

Limited-edition PinkPower toques, caps and scarves will be for sale at the stadium on game day for $20 per item. All proceeds will be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
