Stamps Grey Cup Style Blog

There was a definite fashion theme around the Stamps today as they departed for their third consecutive Grey Cup appearance. Many players embraced Calgary’s western heritage to varying degrees – cowboy hats, belt buckles, cowboy boots, fur and fringe and combinations of said items were all the rage Tuesday proving “Stampede Chic” doesn’t just happen during ten days in July.

Alex Singleton donned the hat he wore when he won last year’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player award and had a little back up from his linebacker teammates to compliment the look.

“My black hat brought me luck at the Awards last year, so I’m hoping it carries over into this week. And it makes me look so good, I’ve got to rock it.”

Breaking from the popular western wear theme was Jameer Thurman who paired blue and gold neutral tones for a polished look.

“You look good, you play good and that’s what I’m looking forward to doing on Sunday.”

Bo is up for his second MOP award, but this jacket is Most Outstanding! An authentic beaded hide fringe jacket and a custom made hat capped off Bo Levi Mitchell’s look.

“I borrowed this jacket from a true Alberta cowboy. I feel like I’m workin’ it.”
