Stamps Sign Four Players

The Calgary Stampeders have signed four international players – offensive linemen Nila Kasitati and Justin Renfrow, defensive back DaShaun Amos and defensive lineman Chris Casher.

All four players finished the 2018 campaign on the Stamps’ practice roster, with Kasitati, Renfrow and Amos all seeing some game action during the season.

Here is more info on the four players:

Nila Kasitati: In his first season with the Stamps, the University of Oklahoma product started a total of four games – two at centre and two at right tackle. Kasitati spent time in the National Football League with Washington and Jacksonville before coming to Calgary.

Justin Renfrow: The Philadelphia native has played seven games over the past two seasons with the Stamps. Renfrow appeared in six games in 2017 and made one start in 2018 – a July 12 contest at Ottawa. He played defensive line in college and signed with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Renfrow has also been with Green Bay, Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas and Buffalo.

DaShaun Amos: The East Carolina University alumnus made two starts for the Stamps after signing on Oct. 3. Amos started at halfback against BC on Oct. 13 and at cornerback on Oct. 26 against Winnipeg. He attended training camp with the New York Giants in 2017.

Chris Casher: The Mobile, Ala., native did not see any game action after signing with Calgary on Sept. 11, spending all but one week on the Stamps’ practice roster. Casher attended NFL training camps with Oakland and the New York Giants and was on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ practice roster for two weeks in 2017.
