Stamps Add Four Receivers

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international receivers Daniel Braverman, Shay Fields, Christian Gibbs and Aaron Peck.

Daniel Braverman

Braverman was selected in the seventh round (230th overall) by the Chicago Bears in the 2016 National Football League draft. He played three games for the Bears in 2016 and later spent time on the practice squads of the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals. Over his final two seasons at Western Michigan, Braverman recorded 195 receptions for 2,374 yards and 19 touchdowns. He was named third-team all-Mid-Athletic Conference in 2014 and first-team all-MAC in 2015 after a season in which he accumulated 109 catches for 1,377 yards and 13 majors.

Fields attended training camp with the NFL’s Washington Redskins in 2018 and later joined the Denver Broncos’ practice squad. Fields signed with the Alliance of American Football’s San Diego Fleet in January. Fields played four seasons at Colorado and finished his collegiate career third in Buffaloes history with 194 catches, second with 2,590 yards and tied for third with 21 touchdown receptions. His best season came in 2016 when he accumulated 56 catches for 883 yards and nine touchdowns.

Christian Gibbs

Gibbs played four seasons at Illinois State and appeared in a total of 45 games for the Redbirds and had 104 career catches for 1,535 yards and 12 touchdowns. Gibbs had a career-high 189 receiving yards in a 2017 contest against Indiana State.

Aaron Peck

Born: Oct. 9, 1994
Birthplace: Riverside, CA

Peck signed with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and signed with the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football in 2018. He played four seasons at Fresno State and made 93 catches for 941 yards and six touchdowns.

In other transactions, the Stamps have released international receiver Armanti Foreman, national linebacker Brad Friesen and international linebacker Warren Long.
