Stamps Acquire Defensive Lineman From Bombers

The Calgary Stampeders have completed a trade with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, acquiring American defensive lineman Patrick Choudja in exchange for the rights to a negotiation-list player.

Choudja spent two weeks on the Blue Bombers’ practice roster in October of 2018 and he re-signed with Winnipeg in December.

Collegiately, Choudja played 50 games over four seasons at Nevada and recorded 93 total tackles including 11 tackles for loss and also had 4.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and one pass defended. In 2017, his senior season with the Wolf Pack, Choujda had 37 tackles including five tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

He was born in Cameroon and came to the United States when he was 10 years old.
