When did you start playing football?

I was eighteen years old. I was in my fourth year of high school, in Ontario they used to do five back in the day. I saw the kicker kicking and I said ‘well I’m better than that guy’ and they said ‘put your money where your mouth is’ and here we are.

What’s your favourite part about football?

Throwing passes.

No, it’s definitely just the locker-room and people and relationships that come along with that.

What is your favourite drill and why?

Going in punts, I think that’s one of the things that separates me from the other punters in the league.

Who has been you biggest football mentor?

Don Sweet, he played in the league for a long time and when I got injured in 2011 he really helped me get my career on track and helped establish me as one of the premier guys in the league.

What is the funniest thing you’ve ever seen on a football field?

I’m not allowed to repeat that.

If you could have been there for one event in history, what would it be?

The Live Aid concert in the UK.

If you won $10 million, what would be your first purchase?

I’d pay out the mortgage I just got a few weeks ago, set aside some for living expenses and I would invest the rest as much as I could, figure out a way to make that money earn money.
