Begelton Honoured Again By Cfl

For the second time this season, Calgary Stampeders receiver Reggie Begelton has been honoured as one of the Canadian Football League’s players of the week.

Begelton had three touchdowns in the Stamps’ 37-33 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMahon Stadium on Saturday. The third of his majors was the game-winning score in the fourth quarter.

In helping Calgary improve to 11-5, Begelton had four catches for 62 yards in the game including three receptions that allowed the Stamps to convert on second down.

For the season, Begelton shares the league lead with 10 receiving touchdowns and he is third in both catches (91) and yards (1,286). He has at least three catches in all 15 games he has played and has five 100-yard games. Begelton also has one rushing touchdown in 2019.

The third-year receiver from Beaumont, Tex., was previously honoured as a player of the week by the CFL for his eight-catch, 173-yard and four-touchdown performance in Week 10 against the Montreal Alouettes.

Stamps players have been honoured as a CFL player of the week on a total of six occasions so far this season.
