When did you start playing football?

I started playing in grade six. My dad played in high school too, so I decided I’d play too. I played as many sports as I could growing up; hockey, football, lacrosse and I just fell into it.

What is your favourite thing about the game of football?

The team component to it is different than any sport I’ve ever been a part of. Everybody has to be on the same page every play. The sense of comradery is way different.

What is your favourite drill and why?

Anytime we get to catch the ball, playing linebacker you don’t get your hands on it too much.

Who has been you biggest football mentor?

Honestly I’ve learned the most from coach Brent Monson, it’s crazy how much knowledge that guy has. Being the room with him last year made my IQ go up ten-fold.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen on a football field?

I can’t repeat that.

If you could have been there for one event in history, what would it be?

The Big Bang, see it all happen.

If you could have lunch with any three people – dead or alive – who would you pick?

Gene Simmons, 50 Cent and Ozzy Osbourne.

If you won $10 million, what would be your first purchase?

A Maserati.
