Calgary Stampeders head coach Dave Dickenson has announced that Pat DelMonaco has been promoted to offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

DelMonaco has been a CFL coach for a decade including the past six seasons with the Stampeders as offensive line coach.

“I’m excited to have Pat progress in our coaching staff,” said Dickenson. “He has already been integral in our offensive coordination and it was a natural and easy fit to give him the offensive coordinator’s title. We will continue to collaborate as an entire offensive staff to get the best possible production on the field.”

“I’m relishing the opportunity to continue to learn from Dave,” said DelMonaco. “My family and I have enjoyed the past six years in Calgary and I’m excited to stay in the city and for the chance to continue to grow within the Stampeders organization.”

In 2019 under DelMonaco’s watch, the Stamps offensive line produced two division all-stars – Shane Bergman and Derek Dennis – and one CFL all-star – Bergman. Calgary allowed the second-fewest sacks in the CFL in 2019 and, in six years with DelMonaco as offensive line coach, the Stamps have never finished lower than second in that category.

During DelMonaco’s tenure, Calgary offensive linemen have earned nine division all-star nominations and six CFL all-star berths.

DelMonaco joined the Stamps in 2014 after spending the previous four seasons as the offensive line coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He joined the Blue Bombers in 2010 after a seven-year stint at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was RPI’s offensive line coach for two seasons (2003-04) and the offensive coordinator for five years (2005-09).
