Orimolade appeared in 10 regular-season games as well as the Western Final and Grey Cup as a rookie in 2018, seeing action both on defence and special teams. He had seven defensive tackles, 10 special-teams tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one knockdown. He also had two special-teams tackles and an important fumble recovery in the Stamps’ Grey Cup victory.

The Dartmouth alum suffered a quadriceps injury in the Stamps’ first pre-season contest in 2019 and was sidelined for the rest of the year.

“Flo showed great promise during his rookie season and I’m looking forward to seeing him take the next step in his development when we return to the field,” said Stampeders president and general manager John Hufnagel.

“I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for giving me the opportunity to play football, and for healing my knee,” said Orimolade. “I want to also thank the Stampeder coaching staff and the Stampeder front office for sticking with me post-injury. I am super excited to return to the football field after almost two years without playing. I can’t wait to help bring another Grey Cup to the city of Calgary.”

The Washington, D.C., native signed with the Stamps on May 11, 2018, after attending training camp with the National Football League’s Los Angeles Rams in 2017. At Dartmouth, he was the Ivy League’s defensive player of the year in 2016 and when he finished his collegiate career he was second on the Big Green’s all-time list with 23.5 sacks.
