The Calgary Stampeders will suit up for the first time in nearly 21 months when they welcome the Toronto Argonauts to town on Saturday evening.

This season marks the 75th campaign in franchise history, dating back to when the team was established in 1945.

Calgary is 7-1 in home-openers since 2012 including 5-0 against Eastern foes. Through 74 seasons, the Red and White are 37-33-4 in season-starters.

The Stamps had a second-place finish in 2019 and went into the West semifinal with a 12-6 record but were defeated by the eventual-Grey-Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Toronto finished outside the playoff picture at 4-14. The Stampeders went 7-2 at McMahon Stadium during regular-season play while the Argos finished 1-8 away from home.

Several former Stampeders will be returning to McMahon for the first time including receivers Juwan Brescacin and Eric Rogers as well as first-time head coach Ryan Dinwiddie. Meanwhile, offensive lineman Sean McEwen, who was drafted by the Double Blue back in 2015, will be making his Stamps debut against his former team.
