Moxey: “always Remember There’s Something To Be Thankful For”

Last night’s win was one for the ages.

Coming down to the wire like that, with a kick to end it and Rene coming through for us was something special. It was a hard fought battle with a lot of physicality going on but I’m just happy that we put in the work and got that W.

When Rene lined up with just seconds left to win the game for us, honestly there was no doubt in my mind that he was going to make it. That guy is the GOAT to us, he makes all those big kicks and he works on all those kicks in practice. We pretty much relied on him and I had no doubt that it was going to go in, I’m happy to have that guy on our team, he came through for us.

With five games left in this season now, the way I look at it, I always take a 1-0 mentality, it’s week to week. I don’t look too far ahead, I don’t look too far in the past. Right now we’ve got 24 hours to celebrate that win last night and then the next day we’re right back in the film room getting ready for BC.

A lot of people are looking at the standings but personally I’m looking at what’s right in front of us. The last time they came to us and we ended up losing a close one. So we’ve got to go back to their house and I know it’s probably going to be a hostile environment over there. I’ve never had a chance to play in BC so we just got to have a great week of prep, review the film from last game and their games in the last couple weeks. We’ll get into the game plan after that and be ready for it.

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving and I just want to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your families, enjoy your friends, all your loved ones and keep them close to you. And always remember there’s something to be thankful for.
