The Calgary Stampeders play at McMahon Stadium for the seventh and final time in 2021 with a matchup against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday.

Both teams have already secured their playoff positioning as the Red and White (7-6) will finish third in the West Division and travel to Regina to face the Roughriders in the Western Semi-Final on Sunday, Nov. 28. The winner will then square off with the first-place Bombers (11-2) at IG Field in the Western Final on Sunday, Dec. 5.

In Week 14, the Stamps clinched a playoff appearance for a 16th straight season courtesy of a 33-23 win over the Lions at BC Place. Bo Levi Mitchell threw three touchdowns for the first time this season and Reggie Begelton had a seven-catch, 119-yard performance in his CFL return. The defence registered three sacks and recovered two fumbles as the Lions were officially eliminated from playoff contention.

As for the Bombers, their nine-game winning streak came to an end in Montreal with backup quarterback Sean McGuire at the helm. Winnipeg was limited to 68 rushing yards and conceded a fourth-quarter touchdown for the first time this season.

Calgary looks to get even with the Bombers after dropping an 18-16 affair in Winnipeg back in late August. Each side is 5-1 in its last six games overall.

Both offensive line units have been stout this year, surrendering fewer than 20 sacks. Defensively, the divisional foes have allowed a CFL-low six rushing majors apiece.

The Stampeders hold a 7-3 record in regular-season home finales dating back to 2010. Winnipeg has provided the opposition on four of those occasions, with each squad claiming two victories.

Legacy Night

The team is commemorating 75 seasons of Stampeders football with a special video tribute at halftime to honour the 1971 Grey Cup championship team. Stamps alumni Basil Bark, Joe Forzani and Jim Furlong will then be introduced to the crowd.

Also, the Grey Cup will be in the Fan Zone on the East side of McMahon beginning at 3:30 p.m. for fan photos prior to kickoff.
